Andrzej Pawłowski, PhD

Andrzej Pawłowski was born in Poland, on February 17, 1980. He received the Master of Science in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology in 2005 (Poland). From November 2005 to May 2006, he was a Leonardo da Vinci EU program grant holder at Automatic Control and Mechatronics Research Group, Department of Computer Science, University of Almeria, Spain. From September 2008 to August 2012, he was scholarship holder for PhD studies funded by Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation with the Department of Computer Science, University of Almeria. In 2012 he received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science specialization in Control System Engineering from the University of Almeria, discussing a Ph.D. thesis entitled "Predictive Control Strategies for Disturbance Compensation" (International Doctorate awarded with maximum distinction “cum laude” and selected later as the best PhD thesis in 2012 in Engineering category at University of Almeria). He continued his research activity up until February 2018 as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Department of Computer Science and Automation, UNED, Madrid, Spain under the grant for postdoctoral research. In 2018 he got the Assistant Professor position at Department of Computer Science, University of Almeria. From May 2021 he forms a part of Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at University of Brescia as MSCA Fellowship Holder.

His research interests include process control, model predictive control, event-based control, anesthesia control and control system application to biomedical processes.
